Booking your trip
If you are interested in any of our itineraries or products please contact us by e-mail regarding any questions you might have. We will also be able to tell you if your chosen trip is really for you, considering your physical ability and interests you might have. Please check our section
“frequently asked questions” on additional information.
Once you have decided to join us in Mongolia, we will require a non-refundable deposit equivalent to 20% of the trip fee to guarantee your place.
The full trip fee has to be paid latest 3 month before the scheduled departure date. Depending on your location, payment has to be made by direct bank transfer (wire transfer) either to our bank in Mongolia or in
Germany.
Once you have paid the full trip fee but decide not to participate in the trip, your trip fee less the deposit will be refunded to you if you notify us the latest 30 days before the trip commences. Within 30 days of commencement of the trip, no refund will be given.
If we have to cancel the trip, your trip fee and your deposit will be refunded to you within 14 days of trip cancellation, regardless the reason why the trip needed to be cancelled.
Medical insurance/evacuation cover
We cannot accept you on any of our trips without a full medical insurance including evacuation cover.
This has to include evacuation from any point within Mongolia by
helicopter/aircraft to Ulaanbaatar. This is in your own interest and we require proof of purchase. International SOS has a clinic both in
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and Beijing and provides various evacuation plans. Please contact us if you are interested in one of their products.

Single supplement
Please contact us if you prefer a single supplement. In Ulaanbaatar the single supplement is 50 US $ per hotel night. While camping you will have your personal tent, camping single supplement will be 10 US $ per night. If you book alone and we cannot match you with a tent/room mate of the same sex, single supplement will be 25 US $ per hotel night and 5 US $ per tent night. Please note that it is not always possible to have a single supplement while staying in ger camps and guest houses. This varies from itinerary to itinerary and needs to be decided on an individual basis. Contact us for details if required.
Visas
Most nationalities need a visa to visit Mongolia, American nationals do not need a visa for Mongolia. They can be acquired at any Mongolian consulate or embassy abroad.
Click for your
nearest Mongolian embassy. Visas are normally valid for 3 months after the date of issues. This means that you should not get your visa earlier than 2 months before your trip.
Mongolian visa regulations. Visas can be issued at the airport in Ulan Bator with an invitation letter from us. This is more time consuming and rules change frequently, therefore we strongly advice you to get your Mongolian visa in your home country.
If you are transiting through Beijing, most European nationals do not require a visa if you connect internationally the same day. However, be aware that some airlines do not know this rule and won’t let you board your flight to Beijing without a visa. Check with both, your local Chinese embassy and the airline you are flying with.
Important note: All British (and American) nationals need a visa for China, even if only transiting for a few hours in Beijing.
