We have acquired amazingly accurate Russian topographical military maps of the whole country in the scales of 1-100,000; 200,000 and 500,000. We also have a selection of maps from other central Asian countries such as Kyrgyzstan. With these maps, you can make your own informed route choices without having to rely on advice and directions from outsiders!

Our last filming project:

In May 2007, we were chosen by Touchdown Eyeworks, a prominent New Zealand media company to organize the Mongolian shoot for their “Shock Treatment” series. For 10 days we lived with our Mongolian herders in the Darchd Valley of Khovgol and recorded how two New Zealand celebrities coped with local nomadic life. Here is what the producer, Greg Heathcote had to say:

"In 2007 Eyeworks Touchdown travelled to remote Northern Mongolia for a 2 week shoot . Peter Weinig and his team were responsible for getting us in, fed, supplying local talent, accommodation, props, shaman, yaks and the lot not to mention supplying us with Korean beer. Every mad unreasonable request was greeted with a solution despite the fact we were 12 hours from the nearest supposed civilization. Peter is one of the best fixer's I have ever used, in a one of the hardest locations I have ever shot in."

The programme has been shown in October 2008. Both celebrities donated their prize money to the local kindergarten in Renchinlum. Click here to find out more about our involvement with the kindergarten.
